What is the HOPE Fund?
Started in 2005, the HOPE Fund exists to help provide assistance, up to $2,000, in the face of emergencies when all other resources have failed.
The hope fund is made possible through one-time or weekly contributions from our employees. Jack Stack matches 100% of the employee contributions (up to $25,000 per year).
Eligibility Requirements
• be an active employee with 6 months or more of continuous tenure
• $2,000 Max Awarded, per household, within a 12-month period
• Funds are sent directly to vendors and not to the Employee
• Applications are kept strictly confidential and reviewed by only our HR Team

HOPE for a Home
“My husband, the main provider for our home was unexpectedly laid off. We were fine the first few months. My husband went to countless interviews and still couldn’t find a job. The bills started piling up. Our savings were nonexistent, prices of food and everything had grown. We were hopeless. We did not know where to turn or who to contact to get support. We had never been in this situation. We cut out everything we could cut out and were still trying to survive. We were still falling behind every month. The first month was doable but six months in our landlord told us that we needed to pay on time and pay what we currently owed since we were a month and a half behind, or they were going to start the eviction process. The next day my husband found a job that would again support our family, but he did not get his first paycheck until after the due date for rent/ arrears. We tried everything we could to get the money I picked up extra shifts as much as I could through the whole process, but we knew that we were not going to make it before the landlord evicted us. After months of struggling, we decided to apply for the Emergency hope Fund. When I received the phone call saying we were approved. I was instantly relieved and joyful and finally after months I started to look at the future and see that we could financially recover and be able to live life rather than try to survive it. I knew that we weren’t going to lose our home and that the hope fund truly did bring us HOPE.”
HOPE for a Roof
“I just want to say that the hope fund that was donated by Jack Stack BBQ employees was extremely appreciated. We had a bad roof leak and water was getting into our main light switches in our living room. We had to shut the power to those switches for fear of one of our children getting electrocuted. We could not run power to the living room and with winter hitting we were out of options on how to restore power without a new roof. We could not afford a new roof and keep up on our monthly bills. With the donation we were able to get our roof replaced before the bad weather hit. So again, from me my wife and my two little girls we say Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. The Hope fund truly saved us. I’m a proud employee of Jack Stack BBQ and cannot express my gratitude enough. ”
